Ours is an evangelical church in Vyborg, Russia composed of a community of people in the Vyborg area, sharing and celebrating their faith, as they grow in God together fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

Purpose Statement: To worship and glorify God together, to grow in His love and share it with others, to equip faithful disciples for the work of ministry in Vyborg, Russia and the rest of the world.  A concise version of the same purpose statement would be – to know the Lord and make Him known till the farthest ends of the earth.

 

Our Functional goals and objectives:

VCC is working to model and replicate a reformation of the Russian Church, serving leaders to plant new forms of healthy churches throughout the Russian landscape.

 

To be true reformers of the Russian Church,

To challenge the traditional thinking of Russian people and church leaders,

To breed new leaders for the birth of a reformed Church in Russia,

To raise up laity-lead ministries to the churched and the lost,

All for the purpose of carrying the truth, love and fellowship of Christ to the Russian people

 

The Mission of VCC

 The mission of VCC is tri-fold and can be summed up by the following simple, yet, meaningful phrase:

“Leadership development resulting in church planting pastors and laity-lead mission teams”

 

- We seek to develop a model mother-church in Vyborg, Russia, that will serve as an on-site training base for new leaders, church planters and para-church ministers, who are missionally minded.

 

- We seek to take our ministry expertise to places where hearts are open, the invitation is given and coming to us for on-site training is not a viable option.

 

- We seek to raise-up church planters and missional leaders/teams from within our own congregation and other congregations to go out and multiply the model of ministry for reformation and the gathering of the unchurched to Christ.

 

- We seek to operate on the basis of developing laity-lead ministry teams that will supplement the church-planting pastor by formulating mission ventures that extend into the secular society.

 

- We seek to instruct and coach those who have a heart to birth new out-reach and ministry forms.

 

- We seek to partner with other like-minded leaders who are in the business of aiding church leaders to think and minister outside of the traditional box of doing church and reaching out to the unchurched.

 

- We seek to find creative ways of mobilizing the body of Christ to meet the needs of the marginalized of Russian society and enfolding them into the fellowship of Christ.

 

Our ministry:

   Throughout our years of ministry, since 1994, VCC has enjoyed the blessing of a multitude of successful ministry endeavors.  The wealth of ministry experience and knowledge gained in terms of strategic and practical skills has lead the VCC leadership team to the place of realizing just how much we have to share with others.  To give away and reproduce ourselves in the lives of other leaders beyond the borders of our own congregation is what fuels us for the next phase of ministry into this next decade and beyond.  We will strive toward this strategic goal and work with all of our energy to empower current pastors, up-coming pastors and lay leaders to do the same and more.  It’s our goal to create healthy, vibrant churches across the landscape of Russia.

   Presently, we humbly ask God to allow us as many opportunities as possible to assist pastors who have the heart and vision for developing and empowering their lay-leadership to do the ministry of the church.  Our primary focus is to make disciples by the central means of equipping leaders, helping them to become mission-minded and to labor in such a way as to develop their own lay-leaders for the work of the ministry and the establishment of healthy churches.
